We’ve got exciting news for London teachers, schools and recent graduates interested in teaching!
The Supply Room is proud to be working in partnership with Teaching London: LDBS Scitt, an Ofsted Outstanding Teacher Training Provider.
The Supply Room met with Liz George, Teaching London Director this week to share ideas to help ease the teacher shortage currently felt across London schools.
“Statistics show that four out of 10 London based teachers quit the profession within their first five years of qualifying. Many of the schools that we work with have said they’re struggling massively in recruiting and retaining teaching staff,” said The Supply Room Co-Founder, Joe Birchenall.
With this in mind, The Supply Room approached Teaching London: LDBS Scitt with the intention of working together to help ease this issue.
“We believe attracting high-quality graduates onto our Graduate Teaching Programme will not only encourage them to go on to teacher training, but also fully prepare them for the rigours of teaching and equip them with the experience and knowledge to grow into outstanding practitioners.”
Teaching London: LDBS Scitt is an accredited NCFE CACHE (Council for Awards in Care, Health and Education) centre.
