The latest addition to The Supply Room family is our teacher recruitment team in Nottingham, The Supply Room’s East Midlands branch, nestled right in the bustling heart of Nottingham’s City Centre.
Under the confident leadership of Lara Tipper, one of our most senior managers, the branch is clearly in good hands and making rapid progress!
“Lara fully appreciates the need to develop excellent relationships with her clients and candidates, and this has clearly rubbed off on her two trainee consultants, Christian and Alex,” says Managing Director, Joe Birchenall. “All three were constantly on the phone, taking vacancies, filling bookings, arranging interviews, and registering new teachers and support staff. They may currently be our smallest branch but watch this space – they are going to be hard to beat!”

Meet The Supply Room’s teacher recruitment team in Nottingham
At The Supply Room’s Nottingham branch, we take pride in our four-member team: Lara, Christian, Alex and our four-legged member, Rudy! The team is dedicated to serving schools across Nottingham and Derby, and to ensure that education in the region gets the support it needs.
Local roots
Alex grew up in Nottingham and attended The Laines Primary School, Bilborough College, and later pursued a Business degree at Nottingham Trent University. Christian, on the other hand, didn’t grow up in the area but fell in love with the city while studying Politics at the University of Nottingham.
What’s on replay in the office?
In their office, the sound of country music is on constant replay, much to Alex’s dismay! However, it adds a unique charm to their workspace, and they’ve all come to appreciate the twang of a good country tune.

When it comes to favourite activities and places to visit in the East Midlands, our Nottingham team members have their own picks.
Alex enjoys skateboarding near the City Ground, Lara loves shopping at Lucy & Yak, and Christian finds solace in the sprawling greenery of Wollaton Park.
